Introduction
Located 8 kilometers northeast of downtown Ottawa, the Rockcliffe Airport is home to the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. Established in 1964, it serves as a collection of aviation treasures that houses both the main exhibition hall and the aircraft hangar. Admission to the main exhibition hall is free, while entry to the aircraft hangar requires an additional fee of $7 CAD, which includes a guided tour. The aircraft hangar showcases over 120 models of planes from various eras, including those used in World War I and contemporary aviation. Visitors can experience the unique features of each aircraft model, get up close and personal with the planes, and even sit in the cockpit. The museum hosts a variety of themed events and air shows, especially during special occasions, which offer an even more exciting experience for tourists.
