Introduction

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Park in Vancouver is divided into a free area and a paid area. The free area adopts Chinese design, but mainly uses materials from North America and is directly managed by the Vancouver Park Board. The paid area is designed based on the classic garden of Suzhou in the Ming Dynasty, and the materials used are imported from China, making it the first such garden outside of China. This garden is operated by the non-profit organization, the Sun Yat-Sen Park Association, with a symbolic rent of 1 Canadian dollar per year.
