Introduction

Located in front of the new city hall of Toronto, the square is named after the years 1955-1962 when it served as a mayor of Toronto. The square was designed by Viljo Revell, the architect of the new city hall, and was built in 1965. The square often hosts concerts, art performances, and other public activities. The square features the abstract sculpture "Three-Way Piece No.2" by British sculptor Henry Moore, a Churchill statue, and a reflecting pool. The square is in a prime location in the heart of Toronto, and the old city hall is also nearby. Citizens can enjoy sculptures, rest, and relax on the square.
