Introduction

Toronto City Hall and the opposite Nathan Phillips Square, located in Toronto, Canada, were designed by Finnish architect Viljo Revell and built in 1965, replacing the old City Hall built in 1899. The City Hall consists of two buildings of different heights, both of which have curved plans. The Council Chamber is shaped like a flying saucer and is located between the two buildings, with the overall layout resembling two hands guarding the Chamber, and from a high point of view it looks like an open eye. The unique appearance of the City Hall makes it one of the main landmarks of Toronto, with the city flag, emblem, and logo all featuring the City Hall theme. In addition, the design of the Raccoon City City Hall in the "Resident Evil" movie series was also inspired by the design of Toronto City Hall.
