Introduction

Castlerigg Stone Circle is an ancient and intriguing attraction that dates back over 3,000 years and was possibly used for tribal gatherings or observing astronomical phenomena. The stone circle is oval in shape with a diameter of about 30 meters and is made up of approximately 40 stones.
