Introduction

Manchester Art Museum houses a large collection of British art and works by many European masters. The old side hall, designed by Charles Barry in 1834, is included. The collection includes 37 watercolors by Turner and the best art works of the Pre-Raphaelite era in Britain. In addition, the new museum also has a permanent collection of 20th-century British art.

Monday to Wednesday, Friday to Sunday: 10:00-17:00, Thursday: 10:00-21:00.

It is a 5-minute walk from Piccadilly Gardens; or you can take the Metrolink tram to St. Peter's Square and walk 2 minutes from there.
