Introduction
In 1831, Thomas Rickman and Henry Hutchinson designed and built a bridge as part of St. John's College. This bridge connected New Court and Third Court and is one of the most famous bridges at St. John's College, named after its similarity to the Bridge of Sighs in Venice.
