Introduction

The college is located on the south side of King's College and was founded by the Queen Consorts Margaret of Anjou in 1448 and Elizabeth Woodville in 1465. Therefore, it is known as "Queens" in honor of these two queens. The college has both medieval and modern architecture, with a unique style spanning both sides of the River Cam and connected to the famous Mathematical Bridge.
