Introduction

The chapel located in King's College, Cambridge is a representative work of Gothic perpendicular style in England. In its early Renaissance altar screen, we can see works from 1532 to 1536 with a distinct contrasting style, which was praised by the famous knight Nikolaus Pevsner as "the most exquisite piece of Italian decoration remaining in England."
