Introduction
The Olympic Theatre is currently the oldest surviving indoor theater. It was once an ancient fortress, which was later renovated by Palladio. However, Palladio unfortunately passed away after six months of work, leaving only renovation plans and sketches. The renowned architect Vincenzo Scamozzi took over to complete the remaining work, including the entrance arch and complex stage design. Today, visitors can enter the left building through a courtyard to tour the oldest and still-in-use stage scenery in Europe, view the semicircular audience seats, and deeply appreciate the design essence of the Roman theater. In addition, the Olympic Theatre preserves the traces of time on its mottled walls, remaining column heads, statues, and inscriptions. Using perspective and lighting to create ingenious visual traps, the street scene on the stage is still very realistic. Address Piazza Matteotti, 11 36100 Vicenza VI Italy
