Introduction

This Gothic building, built in 1440, is one of the most outstanding in Venice. It was once known as the "Golden Palace" and its exterior gleamed with platinum color. Today, it has been transformed into the Franchetti Art Museum, which houses some of the most precious paintings from Venice between the 14th and 18th centuries, showcasing the pinnacle of European painting art.

visitors are not allowed to enter half an hour before closing time. Closed on January 1, May 1, and December 25.
Transportation
It can be reached by walking along the signs of Piazza San Marco, or by taking a water bus to the Ca'd'oro station.
