Introduction

The Elizabeth Bridge, located on the Buda side of Budapest, is known for its 380-meter length, with a main span of 290 meters, and its snow-white appearance. It is affectionately referred to as the "White Bridge" by the local Chinese community. The other side of the bridge connects to the Váci Street and Ferenciek tere Square in Pest, as well as Liberty Hill. The bridge was built to commemorate the Austro-Hungarian Empire Empress Elizabeth, also known as Sisi, who was adored by the people of Hungary for her beauty, kindness, and sincerity. In the small garden on the Buda side, there is a statue of Empress Elizabeth. Sisi made significant contributions to the establishment of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, especially in the elimination of conflicts between two nationalities and advocating for the interests of the Hungarian nobility. Her charm and kindness won the endless love and respect of the Hungarian people.
