Introduction

The ancient ruins of Fera are located on a mountain between the black sandy beach of Kamari and the red sandy beach of Perissa, with access to the site directly from Kamari. It is estimated that the construction of this site began around the 19th century BC, when a tribe settled on the island and made it their home under the leadership of Fera. According to legend, residents continued to live at this ancient site until the Byzantine era.
