Introduction

The St. Apostle's Church, located in the ancient Agra region, has a long history. It is said that the church dates back to the 10th century, and is one of only two structures in the Agra region that was spared from large-scale destruction - the other being the Temple of Hephaestus. The architecture of the church is also unique, as it is one of the most important churches of the Byzantine era and a significant example of Athenian architectural style.
