Introduction
Lviv Opera House was built in 1900, located at the northern end of Freedom Avenue and belonging to the Austro-Hungarian Empire at that time. The architecture style blends with Renaissance and Baroque style, with exquisite exterior walls. According to legend, the Polish designer Gorgolewski, couldn't overcome the pull of the coastal waterway, causing the theater to sink, and eventually committed suicide. Although this rumor is not true, it adds much to the charm of Lviv Opera House. The opera season starts at the end of the summer every year, with performances on Wednesday to Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons and evenings, mainly ballets and operas.
