Patara, located in the ancient Lycian civilization city in the 8th century BC, offers remnants of the ancient city before reaching the beach. Heading south along the coast through the ancient city, you will arrive at Turkey's longest sand beach and campground, Patara Beach. This 12-kilometer long sandy beach is an important breeding and habitat site for sea turtles and other marine life.
