Still a prosperous town

Introduction

This village used to be the residence of Greeks, but in the early 20th century, an agreement signed between Greece and Turkey resulted in the Greeks being sent back to Greece. As a consequence, the village was abandoned. Now, situated amongst mountain ranges, the wooden roofs of the buildings have collapsed, and only the stone walls remain standing. The main attraction of the area is its church, whose frescoes are still in good condition. If you wish to visit, you can take a bus from the bus station and will need to pay for the fare yourself.
