Introduction

Uçhisar is a small town in Cappadocia, located in the countryside and enduring weathering. Many elderly people lean against the weathered old stone houses in the small Red Stone Cave Village. Beautiful and old ruins of stone houses can be seen on the cobblestone road of the town. The name Uçhisar comes from the local jagged castle. This castle is considered to be the most prominent landmark in Uçhisar, with 18-meter-high stone walls built during the Byzantine period to resist invasion. Compared with the Uchisar Castle, its shape is more unique.
