Introduction

Fresco is a type of wall painting created using a special technique, known for its excellent durability. After applying plaster to the wall, natural pigments are used to paint while the plaster is still wet. Once the plaster has completely dried, the painted design becomes one with the wall and the colors will not fade or peel off. This is a very ancient painting technique. Sun Fresco, White Eagle Hotel, Crown Fresco, Red Bull Fresco, and Stone Grape Fresco are all examples of frescoes painted using this technique. Many of the wall paintings in these historic buildings date back to the 16th century. The Stone Grape Fresco depicts the scene of Joshua and Caleb carrying a large bunch of grapes.
