Introduction

Located in the northern part of Portugal, Cape Roca is a cape adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean. It is about 140 meters above sea level and is a narrow cliff at the western end of the Sintra Mountains. The area is about 40 kilometers away from Lisbon and is the westernmost point of Portugal and the westernmost point of Eurasia. The Cape Roca has a lighthouse and a cross facing the ocean, with the famous Portuguese sentence carved on it: "Here the land ends and the sea begins" (Onde a terra acaba e o mar começa). Cape Roca has been named one of the 50 most worth visiting places in the world.
