Introduction

The Viking Museum is part of the Oslo University Cultural History Museum, located on the Bygdøy Peninsula, and exhibits archaeological discoveries from all over Norway. The most representative three Viking ships are the Oseberg, Gokstad and Tune, with the Oseberg ship being the most well-preserved. In addition, the museum displays daily necessities from the Viking era, such as utensils, bedding, carriages, carvings, tents and other goods.

From May to September, open from 9:00am to 6:00pm
from October to April, open from 10:00am to 4:00pm. It is not open on public holidays.
