Introduction
The Bygdøy Peninsula is located in western Oslo and is a tourist attraction that features several museums, including the Folk Museum, Viking Ship Museum, Maritime Museum, and the Fram Museum, the latter being the most noteworthy.
The Fram Museum is home to the ship of the same name, which was specifically designed for exploration in the Arctic and Antarctic regions, and whose name means "Forward". Roald Amundsen sailed the ship during the first exploration of the South Pole, and as such, it has been preserved exceptionally well at the museum. Additionally, the exhibits include a vast collection of information about Amundsen and Robert Falcon Scott's contest to reach the South Pole, as well as items and equipment used on the expedition. Apart from the museums, the peninsula itself features the summer residence of the Norwegian royal family and numerous Nordic-style homes. The peninsula's natural landscape is also particularly stunning, with beaches and forests for tourists to explore, allowing them to experience Norway's unique cultural atmosphere and natural beauty.
