Introduction

The Vyšehrad is a historic place in the city of Prague, with a beautiful legend of a princess and a farmer. It was destroyed in the early 15th century but buildings like the St. Paul's Church and the St. Martin's Rotunda still stand. The most famous part is the Vyšehrad Cemetery, where the most prestigious Czech families are laid to rest. Located on a cliff, the Vyšehrad overlooks the whole city of Prague. It is said that enjoying a beer in the open-air café by the city walls and overlooking the Vltava River is particularly pleasant in the afternoon.
