Introduction
St. Nicholas Church is located in the western part of the city and belongs to the Hussite Church. It is one of the most beautiful Baroque buildings in the city. It was carefully designed by Bohemian architects Johann and Christoph Dientzenhofer and took fifteen years to complete. From the bell tower, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of Charles Bridge and the city. The exterior of the church is very attractive, with a white building complemented by a bronze roof, similar to St. Martin's Church in London. The surrounding area is decorated with gorgeous statues and columns created by famous sculptor Braun. Inside the church, there is a historic organ that Mozart played in 1787. The most striking work in the church is the fresco "Feast of St. Nicholas," which covers an area of 1500 square meters and is one of the most magnificent works in European churches.
