Introduction

The New Church, located on the southwest side of the Dam Square, is a 15th-century building, also known as the Royal Coronation Church. Since 1815, the coronation ceremonies of successive Dutch kings and queens have been held here, making it a prestigious church. The wedding and coronation ceremony of the current Dutch king, Willem-Alexander, were also held here.
