Introduction

The Roman Theatre of Orange is located in the city of Orange, north of Avignon in France. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and was built during the reign of Emperor Augustus in the 1st century. It has a capacity of nearly 10,000 seats, making it one of the largest of its kind. One of the unique features of the theatre is the relatively intact stage backdrop, including the King's door, statues of emperors, and columns. These impressive architectural remains transport visitors back to ancient Rome and its cultural charm. Since 1869, the Orange Festival has been held in the theatre every summer, attracting countless art lovers.
