Introduction

The Bogoyavlensky Cathedral, located on Bauman Street, is an Orthodox church in Kazan and one of the main tourist attractions in the city. The church, built in the 17th century, is a wooden structure with a long history. Today, the church's bell tower is one of the tallest buildings in the area, reaching a height of 63 meters, and is an impressive architectural feat. The church had been damaged and even turned into a warehouse, as well as a gym and a zoo, but it was restored to its original role in 1996. In 1873, the renowned bass singer Feodor Chaliapin was baptized in the church. Nearby on Bauman Street, there are also other iconic buildings and monuments such as the bell tower, the Nikola-Nizinsky Church, the Russian Gounachilov Theater, and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, forming a beautiful and charming skyline that is beloved by residents and tourists.
