Introduction

The most notable building inside the Kremlin is the Syuyumbike Tower, a red, 58-meter high tower with seven floors. Its unique shape can be clearly seen from any angle, complementing the Spasskaya Tower at the other end of the Kremlin. The Syuyumbike Tower is a treasure in the history of architecture, as well as a symbol of spirit and honor in Kazan. According to legend, the Syuyumbike Tower is named after the last queen of the Kazan Khanate, Syuyumbike. According to the legend, after Ivan the Terrible conquered Kazan, Syuyumbike agreed to marry him but made a request: he had to build a tall tower for her within seven days. However, historians have confirmed that this legend is not true. Nevertheless, people in Kazan still cherish this beautiful legend. According to the official version, the Syuyumbike Tower was built in the 17th century as a military observation tower for the Russian army. However, the Tatar version believes that the tower was built by Slavic architects who aimed to achieve the highest level of perfection in brick structures. Nonetheless, researchers still have speculations about the tower's origin. Regardless, the Syuyumbike Tower remains a highlight of Kazan. It is 2 meters off the axis and named after the queen of Kazan. Regardless of the truth, this tower is stunning, representing the confluence of history and legend, as well as the heart of Kazan city.

Saint Petersburg (Russian: Санкт-Петербург), established in 1703 on the marshland at the deepest point of the Gulf of Finland, showcases Peter the Great's ambition in its architectural style and natural landscapes. In the past 300 years, the city has undergone several name changes, from Leningrad to Petrograd, and now Saint Petersburg. Its fate has also been tumultuous, including experiencing the White Terror, enduring a 900-day siege, and witnessing the heroic defense during the Great Patriotic War. Its brilliance has never been overshadowed by gunfire or bloodshed. After protection and reconstruction, it remains "open, inclusive, and romantic"
