Introduction

The Qol Sharif Mosque, located in the Kazan Kremlin architectural complex in Russia, is the newest building, completed in 2005 to celebrate the city's 1000th anniversary. The mosque is known for its blue and white color scheme and intricate Islamic art patterns on the walls and windows. It is believed to be the largest mosque in Europe and attracts Muslims from Russia and around the world for major Islamic festivals. The original mosque on the site was destroyed during the Siege of Kazan in 1552. In 1996, the President of Tatarstan ordered the construction of the grandest mosque in Russia, named after the precious relic Qol Sharif, symbolizing the Tatar people's liberation from historical disasters and becoming free Muslims. The mosque can accommodate 6,000 people and serves as both a mosque and an important Islamic museum. Its proximity to the Orthodox church inside the Kremlin makes it a unique religious spectacle in human history, attracting visitors from all over the world.
