Introduction
Jena University is a historical university established in 1558. It was later renamed Friedrich Schiller University in 1934 to honor the German poet Friedrich Schiller. The university has attracted many notable figures, including Goethe, Schiller, Schelling, and Fichte, who have taught here. In 1801, Hegel obtained his doctoral and lecturer qualifications at Jena University, and in 1805 he became a full professor, teaching philosophy and mathematics.
