Bamberg, Germany

Introduction
Many European regions are known as "Little Venice," characterized by water-related buildings and ancient houses. Bamberg's "Little Venice" is located on the east bank of the Regnitz River, with the Old Town Hall to the north. It used to be a fisherman's settlement area and still preserves most of the old houses. These houses are in the style of the Middle Ages, known as Fachwerk in Germany. There are small gardens in front of the houses, leading to the riverbank where boats dock. Although these houses have a different style from the real Venetian houses, you can still find gondolas and boatmen in striped shirts to enjoy the beautiful view of the Regnitz River. The best place to stroll and appreciate "Little Venice" is on the opposite side of Leinritt River Bank Path. Transportation Bus routes 904, 906, 910, 915, 916, and 938 stop at Am Kranen station. From there, head north along the river or take a 1.6 km walk from the train station.
