Introduction

Hohen Schloss Castle is a Gothic building located in the south of Füssen town. It used to be the residence of the Augsburg bishops. Its courtyard is a fantastic masterpiece dating back to 1499. On the north side of the castle is the Staatsgalerie im Hohen Schloss, exhibiting religious art paintings and sculptures from the 15th and 16th centuries. In addition, the Städtische Gemäldegalerie showcases artworks by 19th-century artists, attracting numerous visitors with its colorful art exhibitions.
