Introduction
Sony Center is a building located in Potsdamer Platz, Berlin, Germany. It was completed in 2000 and designed by architect Helmut Jahn. Previously, Potsdamer Platz was a bustling city center, but it was abandoned after World War II and redeveloped after German reunification.
Today, Sony Center is a complex that includes shops, restaurants, conference centers, hotel rooms, luxury suites and apartments, offices, art and film museums, cinemas, an IMAX theater, a small LEGO land, and "Sony style" shops. The center also offers free Wi-Fi for the convenience of all visitors.
During the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Sony Center opened its space for public viewing of matches, providing large TV screens and an unparalleled viewing experience.
Located within walking distance of Berlin Potsdamer Platz train station, Sony Center is surrounded by a large shopping center, numerous hotels, the headquarters of the German railway company, and the fastest office building elevator in Europe.
