Introduction
Bebelplatz is located in the middle of Unter den Linden, about 150 meters south of Charlottenstraße. This square is widely considered one of the most beautiful places in Berlin and has a history dating back to 1688. However, it has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times due to war. In the center of the square stands the neoclassical Konzerthaus Berlin, with similar buildings on either side: the French Cathedral to the north and the German Cathedral to the south. The French Cathedral, built in 1705 by Huguenot refugees, played an important role in the early development of Berlin. The German Cathedral houses exhibitions on German history, although they can be somewhat dull. Address Gendarmenmarkt, 10117 Berlin MITTE
