Introduction

The Triumphal Arch is located in Munich, Germany. It stands tall at 21 meters, with a width of 24 meters and a thickness of 12 meters. Its design is reminiscent of the Arch of Constantine, the Marble Arch, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Brandenburg Gate. The arch was built in 1852 by King Ludwig I of Bavaria. It is adorned with reliefs of a double-decker chariot and lions, symbolizing the Wittelsbach dynasty. Originally built to commemorate the glorious history of the Bavarian army, today it serves as a symbol of peace. Despite suffering severe damage during World War II and only partially reconstructed, the inscription on the back of the arch, "Dedicated to victory, destroyed by war, urging peace," still stands as a reminder and warning to people.
