Introduction
Sacralas was a hero of ancient Belgium, and the city of Brussels was in a period of peace during the Middle Ages. However, the Count of Flanders, Lodewijk van Male, seized power in 1355. Under the leadership of Sacralas, the citizens drove him out of the city and restored the rightful ruler. Sacralas served as the city's leader for five consecutive terms, but unfortunately, he was assassinated. Today, it is believed that touching the wrist of the Sacralas statue, created by Julien Dillens in the 19th century, with the left hand brings good luck and fulfills forgotten wishes.
