Introduction
An ancient church stands on a hillside on the way to the town of Gosau. Stopping at the parking spot on the side road, there are excellent photo spots all around. The small houses, green meadows, scattered cows, and the little church are all set against the backdrop of blue skies and white clouds, creating a very peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. During our visit, we rarely saw local residents passing by and there were hardly any people gathering near the church, which made the town very quiet. It takes only 15-20 minutes by car from Hallstatt to reach this town, making it more suitable for self-driving tourists.
