Introduction

Mozart Square is located on the northeast side of Bishop's Square, with a Mozart statue standing on the square. The statue was completed on September 5, 1842, funded by donations from the residents of Salzburg. Mozart's two sons also attended the unveiling ceremony. In 1997, Salzburg's old town was listed as a World Heritage Site, and this historical event is engraved on the ground in front of the statue.
