Introduction
The Sisi Princess Museum at the Vienna Palace recently opened, attracting many fans of Princess Sisi to visit. The museum focuses on showcasing the personal life of the beautiful Empress Elizabeth of the House of Saxony-Coburg and Gotha. Visitors here can learn about her rebellion against court etiquette, her obsession with beauty and a slim figure, and her love for sports and poetry. Princess Sisi was once an ordinary Bavarian girl but started her royal life as the spouse of the Austrian emperor. Unfortunately, she was assassinated in Geneva in 1898. The exhibition vividly reproduces the fascinating and busy schedule of this legendary queen, including her summer clothes, a replica of the dress she wore to a party on the eve of her wedding, famous portraits, 23 sets of makeup kits she used for travel, a small desk with her handmade stationery, and her paint box which witnessed her daily life. Opening hours September to June, from 9:00am to 5:30pm
July to August, from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Ticket sales stop half an hour before closing.
