Introduction
Wen Kai Academy, Wen Shrine, and Wu Temple form a rare architectural complex that showcases the combination of educational buildings and wealth deity worship. Wen Kai Academy, founded by local scholar Deng Chuan and sponsored by Lin Wenjun in the fourth year of the Qing Dynasty's Daoguang reign, housed a collection of 300,000 books and provided a platform for many successful candidates in imperial examinations. Wen Shrine, built in the eleventh year of the Jiaqing reign, was a gathering place for the earliest literary and artistic groups in Lugang, and now displays the works of many renowned calligraphers. Wu Temple, completed in the seventeenth year of the Jiaqing reign, is dedicated to Guan Yu, revered as the "God of Business" due to his expertise in finance and accounting, and attracts thriving worship. This architectural complex symbolizes the ancient cultural heritage of Lugang and serves as an important witness to the local history and culture.
