Introduction
The scenery near the coast is extremely beautiful, leaving people mesmerized. Here you will find coral reefs, white shell beaches made of coral reef sediment, black volcanic rock formations, sea caves, and volcanic necks, among other geological features. It is especially remarkable compared to the nearby Haishenti Beach, and is regarded as the most natural and diverse stretch of coastline. There used to be settlements and farmland in this area, resembling an isolated paradise. However, now it is mostly abandoned, with only a few traditional houses made of coral rock remaining. These houses are the oldest, most typical, and well-preserved traditional buildings on Green Island, and also constitute important prehistoric site. Transportation Sea route: Take a ferry from Fugang, Taitung to Green Island, with a one-way trip takes about 50 minutes. Air route: Take a small plane from Taitung Fengnian Airport, with a one-way trip takes about 15 minutes.
