Kalaruan is a gathering place for the Amis tribe, named after the Amis word "kararuan," which means "place to wash the hair." Locals believe that the stream here is rich in minerals, and washing the hair can make it softer. Kalaruan Recreation Area is backed by green mountains and faces the sea, offering beautiful scenery. The grass here is soft and makes for a great spot for locals to relax. Every year, a handicraft market is held here, where art enthusiasts sell their handmade creative products, attracting tourists from all over.
