Gold bottle, A Serene Escape Amidst Majestic Cliffs

Donghe Township, Taitung County
4.3

Introduction

A scenic tourist attraction with various points of interest, such as a fishing port, small bays, offshore reefs, a long sandy beach, and coastal cliffs. The most notable feature is the three-kilometer stretch of soft sand beach, accessible via wooden stairs behind the shops. It is a great place for strolling, listening to the waves, and fishing. However, due to the steep slope, swimming is not recommended at this beach. Behind the beach, there are towering cliffs measuring 30 to 50 meters high, acting as a barrier and creating a sense of seclusion from the bustling world. Kinmen Lieyu Island is the only emergent connecting island in Taiwan, and it holds great academic value. This island resembles an anchor, hence its nickname "Anchor Island" or "Anchor-shaped Reefs." From the viewing area, one can overlook the entire coastline of Jinzun, and in the distance, the anchor-shaped reefs in the vast sea, resembling a giant anchor holding Taiwan steady like Mount Tai, unaffected by the turbulent waves. This serene scene often evokes laughter from observers.
