Introduction

Luye Plateau is located at the southern end of the Hualien-Taitung Valley, with steep terrain. It was previously known as Wild Deer Mountain due to the frequent presence of wild deer. Here, the Xinwu Lu Creek and Luye Creek converge to form the Peinan River, flowing southwards. The soil of Luye Plateau is of good quality, with a pleasant climate and ample sunshine, making it a famous high-quality tea production area. The harvested Fulu tea belongs to the Dongding Oolong tea category. Visitors can fully enjoy the beautiful scenery of the tea plantations and, while tasting the tea, also overlook the nearby Dulan Mountain and Peinan River. In addition to the tea gardens, Luye Plateau is also an excellent venue for flying experiences. From April to October each year, the weather is suitable, and the wind direction shifts to the south, making it an ideal choice for paragliding activities. Every weekend and holiday, paragliding enthusiasts often come here to enjoy the exhilarating experience of soaring through the skies. Additionally, from the end of June to the end of August each year, a grand 'Hot Air Balloon Carnival' is held, where adventure-loving tourists can take hot air balloon rides to experience a journey in the clouds. Luye Plateau is a place focused on tourism development, with many other tourism projects worth exploring besides tea gardens and flying activities.
