Introduction

Small Yeliu is located north of Fugang Fishing Port and is one of the southernmost scenic areas on the east coast. It is known for its rich variety of sea-eroded landscapes. Visitors can walk along the trail and admire the coastal plants such as Sesbania, Pongamia, Hibiscus, and Sea Date. They can also explore the peculiar rocks in the Natural Stone Sculpture Park. The unique geological structure here is composed of "foreign boulders" sandstone, unlike the surrounding Philippine Plate. The Visitor Center is the first stop for tourists entering the scenic area. With its sloping roof design, it showcases the unique geological landscapes of Small Yeliu and the formation and evolution of coastal mountains. Visitors can first learn about it in the Geology Exhibition Hall before carefully observing various forms of rocks by the seaside, such as honeycomb rock, tofu rock, and mushroom-shaped rock. On sunny days, visitors can also look east from Small Yeliu and see Green Island, 32 kilometers away, as well as the ferry heading to Green Island and Orchid Island.
