Introduction
There is a lesser-known corner in the Alishan Forest Scenic Area, even though the observation deck has been built and the management doesn't promote it much. Perhaps to protect this place and avoid attracting too many tourists. It wasn't until the 88 typhoon disaster a few years ago that the traditional sunrise viewing spot, "Zhushan Observation Deck," was destroyed. And the Xiaoguishan Mountain became the new sunrise viewing location, gradually becoming known to people. There are fewer tourists here, but the unparalleled beauty is breathtaking. The trail leads to the summit platform at an elevation of 2488 meters, offering an unobstructed 360-degree panoramic view. You can have a clear view of the Yushan Mountains and the Central Mountain Range, and if the weather is good, even the Taiwan Strait can be seen. Here, sunrise, sunset, and sea of clouds are all best appreciated, especially during autumn, when the falling maple leaves create a magnificent sight. Compared to the well-known "Zhushan Observation Deck," Xiaoguishan Mountain is more serene and solemn, making it an excellent getaway from the bustling city.
