Introduction

Wuchang Temple is located in Jiji Town. It was originally a temple rebuilt by a philanthropist to worship Xuantian Shangdi. After millions of dollars were spent on construction, the temple was destroyed by the 921 earthquake, and rebuilding was no longer possible. In order to commemorate the impact of this earthquake on people, the temple decided to preserve the collapsed appearance and use it as a teaching material for future generations to understand the power of this earthquake and its impact on people, in the hope of better coping with natural disasters in the future.
