Introduction

Xitou Forest Recreation Area is one of the seven forestry areas of National Taiwan University's College of Agriculture. It is home to a variety of plants such as cedar, cypress, Chinese hemlock, ginkgo, and moso bamboo. With towering ancient trees and well-connected forest trails, visitors can enjoy activities like hiking and forest bathing. There are also indoor exhibition halls, a bamboo specimen garden, a university pond, sacred trees, and a moso bamboo forest for visitors to explore and engage in systematic plant observation and bird watching. Walking along the trails, visitors can appreciate the towering coniferous trees up close, no longer just admiring them from a distance. Through close encounters, visitors can immerse themselves in the forest canopy, observe the residents on the trees, and appreciate the different expressions of the forest from various perspectives. When the mountain is enveloped in mist and the mountain fog rises, visitors will experience a sense of being in a picturesque setting. This spiritual cleansing leaves a profound impression on people.
