Introduction

Jiji Town, located in the western part of Nantou County, has a total area of approximately 49.7268 square kilometers. Its geographical coordinates are 120.47 degrees east longitude and 23.49 degrees north latitude. The town is bordered by Zhongliao Township to the north, Mingjian Township to the west, Shuili Township to the east, and is south of Zhushan Town and Lugu Township. Jiji is well-known for its railway tourism, and it is also the epicenter of the 921 earthquake (also known as the Jiji earthquake).
