Introduction
Anping Branch, originally established as the Tainan branch of the Taiwan Governor-General's Monopoly Bureau, held an important position during the peak of the salt industry. To the east was the salt evaporation test factory, to the north were storage rooms, vacuum salt workshops, and high chimneys, while to the west were salt warehouses. In the early days of the restoration, the office was converted into residential quarters for families of the Salt Administration Bureau. Today, it is operated by a local enterprise and renamed "SiO Outing Spot." The location offers a suitable vantage point to view the sunset, and the pronunciation of "SIO" in Japanese has deep connections to salt. "Outing Spot" represents the significance of business travel, combining tourism value and historical significance, making it a popular destination for visitors to enjoy an afternoon outing.
